JBA LT headers install ?

RE: JBA LT headers install ?
It is absolutely necessary to drop the starter and the bottom of the steering shaft. I just did the installation of JBA shorties using both the JBA LT and Shorty install instructions. I tried to get away with raising the engine to the max and not disconnecting the steering shaft, but no way. Had to remove drivers’ side steering rack bolt (from the top, not the bottom welded on nut), loosening passenger side bolt and sliding the rack forward. Once you drop the shaft against the frame, the headers slide right up where they belong.
