Default Nitrous

All my friends keep telling me that the easiest way get to more power is nitrous. But I do not know anything about nitrous so I am kind of leary about doing it. If some one could tell me a little about it and how it works, I would appreciate it.

theres different kinds but the two basic are wet shot and dry shot both are safe depending what you are doing with them. wet shot is more preferd b/c its easier to tune and is a little more safe then a dry shot. as long as your car is tune for a high amount of NO2 which on your motor you can get away with 100hp wet with out tuning but anything over that your pushing it.

also depending if your man. or auto is also a factor in safety gadgets like
-fuel pressure safety switch(FPSS) which will cut the fuel to the the motor if the fuel pressure gets to low.

-window switch which controls what rpm the NO2 will activate and de-activate.

-wot switch or thottle position switch(better) which activates the nitrous at full throttle

and thats really about it

Thanks. I found a kit at DynoTune for $400, it goes from 75-150HP. I have an automatic & I will probably only use about 75-100HP. So do I need to get a FPSS? And what else would you suggest I get with it?

well you should get a FPSS, window switch, and throttle position sensor
i know nitrous express makes a nice plate system and comes with everything accept FPSS and window switch

http://www.nitrousexpress.com/Pages/3v_platesystem.htm

but yes you should get the FPSS just in case your fuel pressure drops to low it wont be able to support enough fuel to the motor and the fuel solenoid for the nitrous and can starve your motor and then boom!! no more engine.

You may want to check this out:

This will give you the basics of Nitrous. I found it pretty useful when I started out with Nitrous.
