Underdrive Pulleys?
I'm in TX and haven't noticed any problem with the A/C, which is important here. Mine cost a little over $300 to install as I talked myself into getting an air compressor to do it myself.
ya does anyone have any problems @ all wit hthem? I remember when i had my 94 5.0 people complained it would mess up the AC and cause alternator problems. Also my buddy told me when u get them UD pulley on hte 05+ you need a new thermostat also,, any truth to that?
No problems with my Steeda UDPs. I only use the A/C when it's really hot and had no issues this summer. Power steering works fine at idle.I didn't notice anycharging issues like headlights dimming at night. I could feel the car pulling harder >3000 RPMs after the install.
The install is easyif you have animpact wrench and if you take the fans off (don't forget to reconnect the power to the fans). There are several good step-by-step write-ups (with pictures) on the web and in the forums.

i installed mine 2 days ago, as long as the steedas economic delete plates, and i did make a difference. it feels stronger now, exhaust sound changed after 3k rpm is a little louder now, after all my suspensions mods the tires where hooking really wheel almost not chirping tires at all but now they do it again
Who's talking out their butt? Water pump is also slowed (underdriven) down with a larger than stockpulley.

Your buddy is talking out of his butt. No t-stat change needed with the UDP's. The waterpump is overdriven to make up for the slower crank speed.
