Long term project plans
This is an idea for a longterm project that I plan to undertake in the future.[/b]
Somewhat complete Mustang GT Power Package[/b]
Livernois 296ci Stroker kit- $2495
Meziere Electric Water pump- $335
Mac O/R X-pipe - $200
Mac Ceramic coated headers- $500
Bassani Race Axle Backs- $430
2008 Saleen Blower with functional Hood Scoop and Hood- probably like $8000 with hood
Spec Stage 2+ clutch and aluminum flywheel guessing around $800
3.73 Gears- $150
New Camshafts of some sort- $1000 I’m guessing
Custom dyno tune- somewhere around $800
I am well aware that I need to consider brakes, suspension, wheels, and tires so ill guestimate $4000 for the lot. This is the plan of action over the next few years. However, I am not so sure I have a complete list. I would appreciate if people could fill me in on the camshafts that you would recommend and anything I might be forgetting.
The COMPLETE package would total somewhere around $18k not facturing labor… No flames please this is just ideas for the longterm gameplan and like I said I would appreciate any input.
And hey, what do you know, the price would probably be under that of a marked up GT500 straight from Ford...and be good for a reliable/well put down 600rwhp

RE: Long term project plans
Missing heads and TB, IMO. I would use Comp stage III for the Cams, no direct experience with them on S197's, but have been very pleased with their products over the years. Brespeed did a good writeup on 'em http://www.brenspeed.com/tech/compcams.htmlif you are interested.
