Tuning after long tube headers?
Hey guysI am still relatively new to the Stang world and I am curious if I should get a custom tune after putting on my long tube headers. She sounds nice but she likes to idle lower (around 500 rpms) rather than 750 or so. I live in San Diego so is there any one here that is recommended?

A custom tune is not requiredif the only thing you have is the LTs (however, a custom tune will always provide better performance than the stock tune). As far as you idle issue, I had the same problem after installing my headers, I checked this and that and it still idled low (around 500 rpm like yours) and sometimes stalled when coming to a stop. But after a week and a half of daily driving, the idle smotthed itself out and returned to the normal 750 rpm, were it has remained since (that was backat the beginning of September).

After my LT header install the engine light came on periodically(DTC slow response O2 sensor), Brent removed the DTC permanently in the tune, the O2 sensor extensions make the computer think they are faulty even though they work perfectly fine.
+1 get a tune anyway !! LT headers and tune, you got to get a tune man !!!!
