Default forging and cylinder head questions

Please don't tell me to search. the search function is worthless. I just went through all 42 pages and none of the other posts answered my questions.

So my plan is to Whipple S/C. My goal is just over 500 Hp at the wheels.
I am going to forge the bottom end with this http://www.livernoismotorsports.com/...t.phtml?p=1552
Q-For forging is there anything else I would need?

Additionally I have a chance to get Livernois stage 2 ported heads. If I get these I plan on doing them at the same time.
Q- Is there much benefit once I add the S/C?
Q- if so should I also upgrade the springs and retainer clips for S/C?

last Q- Am I correct in thinking that there is no reason to do cams if I am S/C ing?

thanks for any input. I just don't know much about internals.

With the Whippleif you want just over 500 @ the wheels.
12 psi should do it, without heads and cams.

From the numbers I have been seeing people reach, you shouldn't need heads or cam work to acheive your goals...

thanks guys. I know I can get there, but I want to get there and not have to worry. I am definitely going to forge, but I'l think I am going to pass on the heads
