Default differential cover

When putting new gears in do you all change the differential cover to a Ford Racing or T/A aluminum cover? Any benefits in performance from cover, etc or waste of money?

Thanks,

Steve

i should have done this. no performance benefit, but looks cool, and when changing gears is a good time to change the diff cover too. but if you want performance than it is a waste of money.

I replaced mine as well. Another benifit is that if you want to change the fluid for any reason, it comes with a drain plug as where the stock you have to take the cover off and replace the gasket.

Also it is more ridgid and has load bolts to provide more support for the differential bearing caps.

If you choose the FRPP one, you don't need to modify the pan hard bar by getting the relocation bracket. Not sure of the other brands as I used the FRPP.

Are your bolts on your frpp cover rusting? Mine are and i would have thought, they'd use something that didn't rust. I don't think my stock bolts had any rust on them.
