Should I throw money at an intake/tune that will be uselesswhen Isupercharge my car3 or4 years down the road????

Is it worth the $$$ for a few years of use?

Depends more on how much 500 means to you. If you can save it up for "spending cash" within 1-2 months then yes id say do it. But if its somthing thats gonna take you 6 months to save, then (well id say still do it, but hell, thats because its one of the cheapest mods you can do to get some decent hp) I believe one of the intakes is used and recommended for the saleen S/C's so you may want to pick up that intake, and figure the most your going to "waste" is about $100 for the custom tune, since your going to need a tuner anyways.

CAIand tune are a great mod. there is a few intakes that work with some supercharges. I would call Brenspeed and ask them, but I would spend the money.

you mind as well do it. Its a nice HP boost, your gonna need a tuner anyway and its not like you couldnt make back any money by sellin the CAI you buy now. Id pull the trigger on it.

I believe the Steeda CAI fits the Saleen supercharger.

If you are concerned about throwing away money, buy used. There are always guys on eBay or in the classified section of this forum selling perfectly good CAIs and Tuners because they are moving up to a SC. You can really get them for a steal sometimes. Just make sure the Tuner is unlocked. Of course you would then need to purchase a Tune but still you'd probably save a couple hundred bucks. Three to 4 years is a long time to wait using the stock system, CAI and Tune are the number one mods for a reason.

I would agree with buying used or just searching for a good deal. it all depends on if you want to play now and can afford it. I'd be the wrong person to ask as I'm pretty impatient. Even if you get a CAI that you can't use later you can always sell it and get some of your money back.

If you can afford to do it now, do it. You'll still be able to use the tuner when you get a S/C and you can always sell the CAI on ebay later....

I would do it now as 3 or 4 yrs is quite aways down the road. Depending on what intake you go with the tuner is at least half the cost of the package and will be re-used when you get the supercharger. I say go for it and enjoy!
