Default Simple Mod Advice

Just looking for some guidance on doing some simple power adding bolt ons. I have full exhaust from the bassani x pipe with hi flo cats through an axle back Flowmaster American Thunder kit. I recently picked up the BBK CAI/tuner combo from Brenspeed. Hasnt been installed but should be a decent increase. Any help from what to do next would be awesome! I am working within a tight budget so turbo or an SC is out for now. Thanks up front for any help you can provide.

Chad

I'd proabably go with suspension upgrades like LCA's (adjustable if you're going to eventually lower the car) and possibly LCA relocation brackets if you're going to drag race it. While you're at it you might as welll get a UCA as well. You don't need adjustable if you're getting adjustable LCA's. If you're going to lower, 1 or the other should be adjustable. These will help eliminate wheel hop. A panhard bar and brace is a good upgrade as well.I know suspension upgrades aren't as sexy as HP upgrade but sometimes the end result is better. If you can't get the HP to the ground, what good is it?

If you don't want to go that route then gears and/or 1 piece driveshaft is a good direction as well. The spyder shaft has gotten rave reviews, I have a Shaftmasters aluminum shaft and love it.

For HP, you might want to look into CMDP's or headers.

I like the suspension idea actually. I am not looking at going crazy with the car...probably only try to get to the lower 13's capable, but wont ever take it to the track. After my crash at the track wtih my 88 GT back in 1997, I cant bring myself to run again. I thought about the typical bolt ons (headers, TB, TB spacer, and pulleys). I was just looking for some outside the box mods and I think you have provided that. I didnt even think about a cam or shaft. Any suggestion on a lowering kit and/or tire and rim combo?

Before anyone jumps on it saying TB spacers are useless, I have it, I actually thought I felt some difference when I put it on, and I do believe it helps MPG, so I'd say its a decent investment if you've got a hundred bucks to spend. As far as lowering kit I would go with the Eibach Pro-Kit and some Tokico D-Specs( the setup im getting ASAP ) past that I heard that a nice panhard bar and adj. LCA is a very good accompaniment to that set. Rims and tires, I love my 18's wrapped in KDW2's, I've heard many people say 18" is the perfect balance between performance and style, and the KDW2's get mad reviews. If you wanted to go cheaper on the tires, as the BFG's are pretty pricey, some Nitto 555r's are supposedly pretty nice. I don't know as much as some of these guys, but hope that helps

UDP
CMDPs
Short shifter
K-member brace with torque limiters
Sequential tail lights
Clear corner lights
Shorty antenna

A throttle body won't give you much if any additional power, and a throttle body spacer will do nothing.

To each his own. Until I see proof from a dyno showing that TB spacers work, I'll continue believeing that they are useless.
