Default Gears Install

I got a quote on a gear install. A complete install with a Motive 4.10 gear for $465.00 installed or Ford Racing gear for $495.00 installed. +guaranteed not to make noises or whine on either set. Is this a good deal and which set should I go with?

Is that parts included or only labor?

And I'd go with the FRPP's just to be safe. I know that neither are supposed to whine if done correctly, but why take the chance of having to bring your car back OVER and OVER and OVER again to get it fixed?

That sounds about right for the price on the FRPP gears + install.

sounds way better than what my quotes have been so far....about 300 for the gears, shim kit with bearing, synthetic oil, and 600 labor to install

Some FRPPs are Motive made?
Inspect the set for the telltale
M stamped into the gears for Motive?

Great deal Esp. if they are going to change your bearings, Since I guess you have an 05.
gears, oil, shims. bearings,, friction modifier or use royle purple. plus the install.
very good deal. Usualy takes a 3-4 hours with a lift and all the tools
You can find posts on here where people have done the job themselves but it takes a longer time and a lot more tools and questions.

good luck on the gear change
