I was quoted $650-700 by a known reputable shop in the area that has done a bunch of S197's with the FRPP "A" gears, install kit, royal purple synthetic and labor...

Sounds like a good deal to me.

Good luck.

sounds like a pretty good price

I got lucky and bought my gears for 50 because a friend had them sitting around in the garage for years, and then the automotive class supervisor at the local college near me has a roush and did the install at the school shop for 200. Can't get luckier than that

I was quoted $469 here in N.C. by a reputable place, using FRPP gears. You can buy new FRPP gears for $150 shipped.

$495 is good deal. I paid a total of $609. 210 for gears, 90 for the install kit and 309 for install including gear oil. For a shop, gears are one of the most expensive install parts wise.

I think it is a good deal. I paid around 450$ for my 3.73 gears + install here in Dallas.
