Default American Muscle Tune?

I have a Steeda Intake, a SLPX-pipe, and Boom Tubes on my GT. I am running an X-cal 3 with the 93 Octane tune for the above setup from American Muscle. I don't see anyone else running an AM tune here, so I was wonderingifanyoneelse hasused the AM tunes? Are they any good, or should I get one from Brenspeed???

I've had .... several .... customers come to me after they have had an american muscle tune on their car, and have left much happier; talking amoungst other SCT Tuning Dealers, this is not un-common.

I don't like to say anything bad about anyone, but I think they are just spread too thin. They definitely have their perks.

Seems to run well, seems a bit laggy when I punch it from lower RPM's, but it may just be me. Don't hear any noticeable pinging, so I guess it's good on that end. I just haven't heard of anybody running their tunes and was wondering if there was any problems with their setups.

Don't have the money for a dyno tune at present with all the other new crap I just put on my car. I guess I'll dial up Brenspeed since I've done all of my ordering through them lately. Hopefully they can clear up the dead spot at 3,000 or so. Thanks for the replies.

I suspect also that you'll be happier with the Brenspeed or Bama tunes. They tend to be a bit more aggressive.

FWIW, my S197 had a flat spot at 3K rpm with a canned 93 Predator tune. Installing a BamaChips 93 Race tune eliminated it.

+1

I noticed a huge difference between the canned Diablosport tune and a Bamachips race tune.
