Shift Kit

Shift Kit
[8D]New to Forum I have a 05 Mustang GT Automatic and am looking to install a shift kit, and torque converter. Went to a transmission shop and they said with the new computers on the 05 a shift kit may not take as the computer will adjust for what the kit does. Anyone out there with info or help with what I can do? I'd appreciate it

RE: Shift Kit
You will definitly need a re-tune. But it should be fine to install the shift kit and torque converter before hand. If you have a tuner you can adjust the shift points to match what you have put in.
If you don't have a tuner or are afraid to mess with it then oncethe mod is completed go to a Dyno shop and get a custom tune.

RE: Shift Kit
So, you want a harder shift..chirp 2nd..how about chirping 3rd? Don't need a shift kit.
Get a tune from Doug at Bamachips. He'll also re-write your tune for free to go with
all your future mods. If you're getting a stall converter..tell him.

It is all electronically tuned by the computer. Just get a hand-held tuner from Brenspeed or Bamachips with a good automatic tune.
Get a PI stall dont bother with that TCI crap.
