Default PI Stallion 3000 RPM TC Installed

Just got my car back from the shop today. Got the PI 3000 rpm TC installed. It is a single disk one, but the seat of the pants feeling is great. I guess it responds well with the 3.73s. Can't wait to take it out to the track and see how the new harder launches help my time. I don't need a tune for this do I? Its definitely a mod that I would recommend. Feels a lot better than the gears!!!

That's cool, do you have a best 1/4 ET for before the TC?

Would like to see what your new best ET now be with the TC installed.

Also what was the install cost for the TC?

thanks

thanks

I ran a 13.701 at 101.3 but I only have four runs in my car. Could have probably done better with a little more practice. I am hoping to cut at least 0.3 secs or more with this mod. I paid a little over 1200 for the TC and install. I'll see if I can time it again either this or next thursday.

So I went out to the track yesterday to test out my new TC. The performance of my car was bitter/sweet. It would launch much harder, but at the same time spun the tires a lot more. I ran a 13.99 at 100 mph. This was worse than before the TC. Of course I am running street tires. I later borrowed some ET Street radials and did consistent 13.4 passes at about 99 mph. Of course I don't know how much was from the TC and how much from the tires. Now I just need to work on my crappy 0.90 reaction times.

Reaction times have nothing to do with your ET. Always leave on the 3rd yellow.

Yeah but it sucks when a slower car beats you because they took you right off from the line.

hey whats up I had a TCI 3000 Stall and sold it, I heard that if the car is your daily driver that its really rough driving it, what do you think. If the ride is still ok as a daily driver I might buy a new one, lemme know ...thanks

I think that the ride is good as a daily driver. The different isn't overwhelming. Your car wont start rolling if you just let go of the brake like with the stock one. You will have to give it a little bit more gas and it also feels like the throttle response gets a little bit more aggresive from a dead stop ( could be the theoretical torque increase from a bigger STR). I would say go for it. Although if you want top of the line, I have heard PI is the way to go.
