Default Gears or headers

Im stuck between a set of 3.73's or a set of long tubes off road xpipe. What would be the performance gains with the long tubes. I have ridden in a car that had 3.73's and it was a f'ing rocket. With gas prices the way they are im kinda leaning to the headers. What do ya think.

Learn it yourself. I'm done.

I think you'd be happier with gears...

Headers would probably be more fun, but cost around 1000-1500 including install. You can get gears and have them installed for under 500.

EDIT: I just noticed your exhaust setup. With long tube headers, no cats, and flowmasters, you will probably get a ton of drone.

Gears, no doubt about it. You might not even notice the headers (aside from sound) unless you're at the track or on the dyno.

Gears. Headers I have heard will do nothing unless you are supercharged.
