Default want to get some engine work done

alright guys so ive been thinkin about it and i want to keep the bullitt N/A for sure but i want more power, no forced induction what so ever...i have a few questions and need some round about figures so i can leave the vaseline at home..

First off i want to bore and/or stroke the block and port and polish the heads.
Price on that im sure will run a couple grand atleast, right? and what size should i make it?

new pistons and rods, what kind? price?

and will i need to get new valves and springs for that too or can you keep the stock?

also, i want to get some new cams to add some hp but more so for a better sound..i was thinkin comp cams but what stage? price? install?

would i have to get a new crank shaft too?

have i missed anything? should all that be done at the same time or can i do it little by little?

sorry for all the questions but ima start getting all my information ready for when i finally get ready to make a choice...im going to do more research but i wanted yalls opinion first before i asked anyone else for advice.

thanks to anyone who is willing to read and answer any of this!

If you want a good set of p&p heads thats gonna cost you a couple grand alone, but they usually come with upgraded springs and retainers and may come with upgraded valves. A stoker kit (298 is the popular size) is going to cost you anywhere from $2000-$3000 without assembly or a block. If your gonna do it yourself you still have to pay to the have the block machined. I got my stroker kit from livernois for $1950. Cams are gonna cost you another $750. Keep in mind i've not included labor in any of this. So your looking at around $5000 not including the little things like head and main studs, gaskets, non reusable bolts, ect. In the end you might end up with 400rwhp.

Why do you want to steer away from FI? You can spend less money and make more power with FI. Your also going to be able to make more power easier when your ready for more. IMO if all your looking for is 400rwhp get a $3500 non-intercooled vortech bolt it on and enjoy.

well..what are the pros and cons of force induction vs the engine work? ?.. i just think of FI as beating the hell out of the motor each time you reach boost and i would love it waayyy to much and hit boost every time i step foot in the car..i have an addiction to acceleration, like no joke... i mean if you guys can out weigh the motor work in pros then i may consider it..but i know for sure i want to port and polish the heads...NOS is def out of the question tho lol so no need to touch that subject..if i did go FI then it would be supercharger for sure..any suggestions on brand of choice? ?
