Stock 2005 GT - What performance mods for a 2000$ budget?
#13
And also what kind of performance 0-60, and 1/4 mile time can i expect from stock to the CAI + tune + 4.10 ?
From official Drag times website my stock car is suppose to be 0-60 in 5.1? and 1/4 in 13.5?
What will be the new times?

American muscle is an awesome place to order from unless you are getting an intake/tune package. If you are getting an intake/tune package, order from Bamachips or Brenspeed. I got a JLT II and tunes from brenspeed as my first mod. The JLT supposedly gains the most hp, but doesnt look as nice. I didn't care too much for looks before, but if i had to do it over again, I would probably get the steeda intake and tune package from brenspeed. It isnt that much more money and the quality looks much better. The JLT has a cheap plastic heat shield that is really flimsy b/c it only has one mounting bolt and it rests on the ABS module. Also if you do not install the JLT correctly, it can rub on your fender or hood requiring touch up paint, I know from first hand experience. I would also recommend the bearing kit with your gears. I didn't get it and my bearings failed after the gear install and it all had to be taken apart and reassembled which is a major PITA. Hope this helps!

Oh as far as the 4.10s you might want to look at the thread where the guy is complaing about them. Some people who plan on driving much at 70-80mph don't like the loss of gas mileage or loudness from driving at 2500rpm.. with stock exhaust I don't think loudness will be an issue though.
