Re-tune for 4.10?

Re-tune for 4.10?
I'm looking to get 4.10 gears in the next few weeks on my 5spd GT (CAI, LT headers, catback). I have an evo 93 tune and was wondering if the tune needed to be completely changed, or just the odometer needed to be recalibrated for the new gears. I wasn't planning on going back to evolution performance to install the gears, so if a complete re-tune isn't necessary could the shop who is installing the gears accomplish the odometer calibration with my SCT2? Or would evo have to completely change the tune I have on it now to account for the 4.10s?
I hope this made sense, I don't 100% know what I'm talking about...
Thanks.

could someone just re-install their tune and change options when the screen pops up? I did that once and I had the option to toggle between many of them, gear ratios being one of them (SCT x3)

I have one of doug's tunes on my programmer and you can go in and change the gear ratio manually which I have done when I installed 3.73 gears. If you have a manual transmission, I wouldn't worry about getting retuned, I would just change the final drive ratio in your tuner which takes all of 30 seconds to do. I have heard that doug tunes the transmission shift points differently in the automatics depending on the final drive ratio. Therefore, if you have an automatic, going without a retune may or may not damage your tranny. I think you would probably be safe, but not quite as fast and maybe a little jerky.
