I have been trying to learn as much as I can so pardon the ignorance......
I just got an SCT Flash tuner with the Steeda Carbon CAI from American muscle and it came with a free custom tune....I chose 93 octane performance. I know form what I have been reading that you all say AM is crap for tuning and to get a Brenspeed tune ASAP. My question is is it ok to just try the AMercian Muscle one first or the ones programmed on the SCT tuner and see how it goes? It won't hurt my car right? I do have a custom tune place a 1/2 hour away but don't have the $300 now to spend on that right now. How worth it is it to get a custom tune. i only have an MGW short throw and corsa axlebacks on my car.

Some people answered me with great info but not the part about will the AM tune be ok for now? Should I just go right to the Dyno shop and get the custom tune or can it wait?

The AM tune and the Custom Tunes won't hurt at all. You can always put it back to Stock anyway. I ordered a Brenspeed tune about a week and a half ago...so be prepared to wait unless you pay the $45 rush fee.
