I've been driving my fiance's 1988 honda as a DD (72 mile commute for work) and the A/C was blowing hot air. Luckily I work in the office for a commercial HVAC company lol. I know all they did was get some refrigeration gas and a hose with a gauge. I'll ask tomorrow what the specifics were and post back if you haven't gotten anything by then.

They sell the R134 hose to install the freon at Auto parts stores. The hose is like $10. However, if your ac system is totally empty you should vacuum it down for 30 minutes.
