I am interested in this too, I am glad you posted this. I know longtubes will gain more, however, I am interested in shorties just because of the easier install and the fact they can reuse stock style midpipes...

well, I'll know soon enough. Just ordered them yesterday, though I may not be expecting a dramatic increase.. right now, if it's a little quicker I'd be happy.

Using my G-tech accelerometer, I gained 2.145% in peak torque and 2.949% in peak hp. I think the big gains are in partial throttle, not full throttle. On the highway, my exhaust got a LOT more quiet. The headers however did not quiet down my exhaust. They allow me to make more torque at that rpm, which requires less load which decreases the noise. This was also evident by the 3-4 mpg increase I have been consistently getting since these headers were installed. So i guess if you want to be a dyno queen or make better times at the track, get long tubes. If you want to improve the driveability, fuel economy, sound, and get a little more power, stick with shorties.

^^
noice, I was hoping my purchase wasn't a bad choice. I am getting some steeda charge motion delete plates and a new tune as well.. so hopefully that combination should free up a little more HP. I am really interested in how it's all going to sound like. I open the cut outs on occassion and it's absolutly ridiculous while freeing up some whp in the process. All in all, after reading so much- I am pretty sure I will be happy with the results.

Unlike with the 4.10s lol. I was expecting SOOO much of them, but after running nearly identical times, with the addition of no traction.. I was more then bummed.

After awhile though and learning how to drive, I would not have it any other way.
