Default Upgrades......thoughts?

Well, after taking my car in for some spark plug change related issues, my mechanic at a local performance shop has convinced me to just go ahead and bite the bullet and spend some more $$ to keep the economy rolling. LOL.

The 05 GT is getting:

ARH LT Headers w O/R X pipe
BBR Stage II Cams
P&P the Heads, no need to replace them, just clean them up and make them flow a little better.

and a new tune.....of course.

It will be done in around 10-12 days, parts being ordered today. I'm pretty interested to see what the results will be, but I'm expecting to see an additional 40-60 RWHP from those mods. Any thoughts out there about that?

I'm a little concerned that the O/R X may be a bit gaudy - but its not a DD, I will drive the car to work 2x p/week usually and sometimes out and about on the weekends.

Sounds good. With the right tunes you should be in the 315-325 RWHP range assuming your stock #'s are about average.

I'm expecting more than that, as I did already have a few mods. CAI/Tune (93 street/strip Tillman Speed tune), UDPs, GT500 TB, Axlebacks, 4.10s.............stock dyno in Feb 05 put me at 269/283 (HP/TQ) and CAI/ w/87 Oct Tune pushed it to 286/293 in Oct 05. It hasn't been dyno'd since.

All the parts were ordered, so when we dyno it next week, I'll post up results. I will say that for the $$ this cost, I really considered buying the FRPP Hot Rod Motor and doing a swap, but want to wait a couple years and put a 5.0 in it instead. Gotta start saving again.
