Edelbrock E-Force with CAI?

Edelbrock E-Force with CAI?
So I just put in my Kooks LT headers with high flow catted H-pipe, and I need more horses. I really like everything about the new Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger, and I'm thinking about starting to save for one (it'll take a while).
My concern is that I was reading that it requires the stock air box to work properly. Is that true? I have a K&N CAI, and I was thinking of maybe upgrading in the future, and I don't even have the stock air box anymore. It hurts me to think that I would have to downgrade my air intake to install the S/C. Does anyone know if that is true?

Yes, the base kit does require the use of the stock airbox (which gets modified as you remove a large section from the bottom), but EB does have their own CAI that can be added along with an updated tune.
I have only seen one of these installed with something other than the EB CAI or stock airbox in which they used the Bullitt style CAI. But it did require a custom adapter tube to connect the throttle body along with some modifications to the tune.
I personally like the idea of using the stock airbox as it really throws people for a loop when you pop your hood as everything kind of looks stock... especially when you have >400RWHP as I don't think you could consider that a "downgrade"

Since you have Kooks you're going to need a custom tune anyway. The Edelbrock tune will not work no matter what you did to the CAI.
Since you have the K&N CAI, which is one of the smallest and least power producing CAIs, get the Edlebrock CAI add-on. Then that problem will be solved. Make sure to still get a custom tune b/c of the Kooks.
