*sigh*. That is going to come down to preference. I don't know much about the Mac mufflers, but the Magnaflows are very nice. Personally, I feel a glasspack muffler (IE Magnaflow, Borla) sounds much better than a chambered muffler (Flowmaster) on a S197 Mustang.
I have had the Manaflow 40s, the Magnapacks, and the MAC a/b, and after all that, I would say that I like the MAC's the most, but not with an o/r x pipe. They sound just plain mean with an o/r h pipe and are probably the best sounding mufflers at idle and there aren't many people who can argue that
I am thinking of purchasing the Boom Tubes. Does anyone have these installed and if so, how much louder than stock ? Also, do they fit properly, thus an easy install?
The boom tubes (you thread jacker- lol) are about 4x louder than stock GT mufflers under WOT. Once you're cruising, the sound is about 2x louder at 65-70 mph. Obviously, the amount of noise is proportional to how much throttle you're using.
