Exclamation TIE ROD HELP!

hey everyone. My car just failed an inspection because of my drivers side outer tie rod. Steering and Suspension are the 2 areas in which I have no experience. I have searched up and down these forums for a perfect "How-to" on replacing the drivers side outer tie rod. Something as helpful as Taco Bills How-To's would be great. Pictures and Tips would be great. If anyone can send me a link to a "how to replace outer tie rod", it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Sorry, I forgot to include an important aspect.....my car I'm talking about is a 2005 Mustang GT. THANKS.

You don't need a pictorial for an outer tie rod, it's a 15 minute job.

Remove the cotter pin from the spindle nut, remove spindle nut. Loosen the jam nut...(lefty loosey). Hopefully the new part has a new spindle nut, if so rethread the old one just a couple of threads and use a lump hammer to knock the tie rod out. If not then use a hammer to tap the spindle and it the tie rod will eventually seperate from the spindle. Once the tie rod is out of the spindle turn the tie rod counter clockwise to remove it from the inner tie rod and follow the reverse for install. Then . Once sober take it to get an alignment
