Well I ordered a 3.125" pulley, Mafia, GT500 throttle body & adapter & Steeda CMCV delete plugs (since mine is an 09). Still need to order the IAT relocation kit. I'm hoping for around 500rwhp.

It should prove quite interesting when I take the car down to TX to visit my family towards the end of summer.

Well I finally recieved the Power Pipe kit from AFM. We got that installed along with the new Abaco DBX meter, 3.125" pulley, Steeda CMCV delete plugs & GT500 throttle body.

We had a few issues related to the DBX meter (mostly because neither the tuner or I have used it before) once we got those hammered out we did a few runs.

Latest results are 531rwhp / 440ft-lbs @ 9.5lbs of boost & 16degrees of timing - getting belt slip

I will post the final graph after I pick up the car this evening.

And yes I know I am well beyond the safe limit of the stock motor. I have a forged 302 stroker rotating assembly on its way and I will be installing it after the first snow along with an 8rib setup & new fuel system.

Do you have any pics with the power pipe installed? I am curious to see what it looks like for the paxton kit. Sounds like an awesome build, with some great #'s. Congrats!

I will post some this evening, its a nice setup...the pipe itself is ceramic coated & comes with an aluminum air box. It looks somewhat out of place in my engine bay just because of the satin Novi.

Who is your tuner? I just dropped my car off with Scott at P&P a couple of days ago, and he is of the opinion that 500rwhp is plenty safe for these cars at our elevation. He did admit that he would be concerned about it at sea level.

I assume the pulley you are using would be the equivalent of a 11-12lb pulley at sea level. I have a 12lb pulley on my truck, and on a cool, humid morning I can push it to 10.5psi max. You are right, elevation sucks for horsepower.

A word of caution. If you plan on driving the car to lower elevations, you might want to ask your tuner to give you a more conservative tune to load when you are travelling. I have a pretty good tune on my truck for 6200', but a trip down to 3000' last fall had me pinging and running lean when I got even mildly aggressive with the throttle. I don't know that I would have been able to drive it at all at sea level. Just be carefull.

Rob Williams of Rob Williams Racing... he is excellent to deal with. He explains everything he is doing and why he is doing it and lets me watch over his shoulder.

Elevation is definately the big killer in boost but I also have long tubes headers that lower boost.

Ya I probably won't be taking the car too far for awhile. I actually ran out of fuel pump so he backed everything off to where he felt I'd be safe until I do my engine build.

lol, what part of texas are you coming to??? my procharger 10psi kit was hitting 12psi at 6500RPM's. i have never had a supercharged car at high elevations but i have heard that it sucks. nice setup though, and good numbers. My tuner told me the same thing about the power. Early speculation had everybody believing that the internals in our motors were only good for 450whp. Turns out that was b.s. and it is all actually in the tune. I am at 477whp on a rather conservative tune and was told that we could go higher but the fuel pump and injectors are maxed out. I'm not sure i would go higher than 500 though, but you have that stroker on the way so you already have all that crunched out. congrats.

But, you do know that anything above 450 on a stock bottom end is just rolling the dice on when your going to have a engine failure of some kind. I could of very easy made your numbers with my Paxton but I wanted to play it a little more safe until I can get a forged lower end when I want too, and not because I'm force too by a blown motor.

Smart thinking cutterwolf. I'm worried about the bottom end too in if I get a sc.
