Default Paxton 2200 H.O. Kit

Well I broke down and bought the Paxton kit from Brenspeed on 7/10. The kit arrived on 7/16 and installed it on that friday/saturday. The kit was pretty straight forward, the instructions were pretty easy to follow. Now all I am waiting on is Brenspeed to send me a tune so I can start and test the car. The anticipation is killing me.

What kind of hp/tq numbers would you expect to see with the H.O. Kit , Kooks headers w/ catted h and 3.73 gears at Denver's altitude?

Hrm, hard to say at altitude. At sea level I would expect around 440-460rwhp.

Well I finally got the tune yesterday then spent 3 hours messing around with Vista trying to get it to load on the programmer. Its strange because it seemed to work part of the time since it let me update the firmware and tune revision but when it came time to load the program it acted like the drivers weren't there. Luckily I had an old XP laptop that I could download everything on to. It worked like a charm.

Got the program loaded up into the car and she fired right up. Took it out for a test drive and no leaks or problems so far. Definately put a big *** grinn on my face even though I think I ran into about every colorado state trooper there is on the highway. I have never driven a centrigual supercharger before but I like it.

I am taking the car to the dyno (finally found a Ford speedshop in Colorado) on friday.

Well got it on the dyno friday. Brenspeed's tune was bit off it leaned out pretty bad from 3500 to 4000 rpm so I went ahead and had the tuner write a custom tune for the car while it was on the dyno just to be safe. It made 444hp & 396ft-lb with the paxton 2200sl, kooks headers / catted-h and 3.73 gears on a dynojet. He spun it up to 6500rpm and it maxed out at 7.4 lbs of boost. Needless to say altitude sucks, I am trying to decided between a smaller pulley or an oversized crank pulley at the moment because my goals is around 500rwhp. I plan on going with the 8 rib setup in the future so I may just go with a smaller pulley for now. Another thing the tuner noted was that the stock MAF sensor is almost maxed out, he suggested going with the MAFia when I change pulleys. He also suggested relocating the IAT sensor closer to the intake. I will post the curve on here as soon as I figure out how to.

good suggestions on the MAFia, relocating the IAT is a must IMHO, and I'd also go with the smaller pulley - less costly to upgrade that then the crank pulley.

Default No AIT relocate?

I just put on the Vortech from Brenspeed and the kit included the AIT reloction kit. This is a must have for a custom tune. It will be a pain to put on now if you put it where I did.

yeah the paxton kit will just about max out your maf...5 is the max...my tuner was able to keep mine around 4.6-4.8 You can change things in the tune to keep that number below 5. I have paxton 2200 novi kit, custom grind blower cams, steeda charge motion delete plates...and custom tune. Got 519rwhp. Thing runs like an animal. Night and day? Not even a question. Look out Z06 dyno sheets are posted in my car album
