CAI + Tune = Wow

CAI + Tune = Wow
I just installed my Steeda CAI and 91 Octane tune from Brenspeed.
All I can say is WOW. Even after reading most of the threads on this site, I still can't believe the change in the car.
I went from barely spinning the wheels at start, to spinning them in the first three gears. It really turns this into a whole new car.
The service from Brenspeed was awesome, and everything went together fairly easily.
The hardest part was disconnect the vacuum line, and then tightening the Steeda bracket to the ABS bolt. Everything else was easy, and I'm not handy at all.
Best mod ever.

Congrats and brace yourself because that mod bug bites hard! BTW I have an auto too I would really suggest the Bamachips tune for you it's leaps and bounds better than the Brenspeed auto tune IMO... the best $50 you can spend!

Take it from someone who also had Brenspeed CAI/Tune combo as the first mod on an auto GT. I later tried a Bama race tune and was completely blown away by the throttle response; especially down low. The only thing I missed about the Bren tunes was the shift pattern. Brens' stays a tad longer through the gears, making my auto with SLP LM's not sound so "autoish"
If only I could mix both tunes.

Glad to hear it! Just be aware that she'll "tame" down after a bit from the adaptive learning feature of the PCM. One day you'll be driving and say "Where did all the pep go?" But you'll be able to restore it by lifting the battery lead.

Thanks for all the info. I'll have to check out the BAMA tune eventually. Although I have to lay low awhile, because the money for this mod got me in the doghouse. Although she loosed up a bit once she drove in it yesterday.

Autos can tell a bigger difference. Manuals don't get anything extra out of their transmissions with a tune.
