intermittent knocking from engine

intermittent knocking from engine
hey guys just bought a 2006 gt with 5,500 on it
luv the car but engine has a knock at various times
some times when i start it cold and it comes and goes when hot
sounds like it is comming from right rear of motor can anyone help
me out w this problem. thanks for ur help
