Default Spark Plug Change Questions...

I watched the video and all but was wondering should I disconnect the battery for this because of the coil packs? also is letting it idle about 5 minutes enough to warm it to the touch but not too hot and what plugs to replace the stocks with...car won't be modded much, it has a K&N and I plan on some changes in the exhaust so what plug to use?

Your mods will have no bearing on the plugs.
The reason you need to change them is because of the plug-break issue.

If you want to correct this issue the brand of plugs you need to use
are the Champion One piece plugs #7989.

I also recommend you read the TSB from Ford on the removal and replacement of these plugs and not just watch the video.
If you are not VERY familiar with the TSB and how it says to go about doing this you need to have your dealer do it.

Yup.
You also need anti-seize when you put them back on.
I recommend doing this even though you will replace them with the Champion plugs.

This can be a really touchy process even though it sounds easy.
Especially if those plugs are sticking.
My recommendation is to just let a dealer do it. Others may disagree.

I hear ya, theres somethings that the dealer should just do, I work at a Honda dealership and we see stuff all the time that clowns do under a tree at home and screw it up but heres the problem, our local Ford dealership is terrible. I took a customers Lincoln MKZ over there that I fixed for her at our shop because of a air bag issue...after 6 weeks and many trips over there to see why it was taking soooo long and wondering why the hell there "test" parts were layin on top of her car I finally got it back...theres no way I'm leavin my car with them....gonna talk to one of there techs tomorrow to see if he can come to my shop and change them, if not I'll do it myself. Thanks for the help on this.
