Default help meeeee

I have an 05 GT..I'm 16..my dad doesn't want me to change headers and would prefer if I didn't change midpipe..so I'm wondering..what mufflers by themselves make the most noise and sond the best? I'm thinking flows or magnaflow...any opionins?

I'm a huge fan of the Borla Stingers, had them on my 2005 GT and now on my 08 GT500...might not be the "level of noise" you are looking for, but they are loud and have a great sound.

You're going to get many different responses on here, exhaust is definitely one of those things that people tend to change out often until they find the right sound that they're looking for.

Good Luck.

Flowmasters are pretty quiet. I have MAC's chambered mufflers and they growl pretty good. I would think that MAC boomtubes, or SLP Loudmouths would be the absolute loudest "muffler" you can put on.

Just doing axlebacks - then the SLPs are probably the ones. I put on the Pypes Violators as one of my first mods a couple years back and love them. Good luck.

If you want that Deep bigblock sound go with Cherrybomb pro or MAC-axleback. They have a lot of drone. No powergains

The pypes are aggressive but they crackle/pop alot.

The stinger SLP, magnapac, borla, axlebacks do sound good also, you will get about 4hp max with them but lose equal amt. of torque. Saves about 15 lbs.

The rest of them ford racing GTA/Bs, hooker, flowmasters, regular magnaflows, stillen, are a little louder than stock.

Check Youtube for vids.

Only long tube headers will gain 10-15 hp with matching x-pipe and catback combo, shortys are only good for about 6hp max.
