Two of mine broke at about 50K miles I believe. I wanted to strangle someone at Ford for this design. I'm seriously thinking in the future to swap heads with the new design to rid myself of this problem completely. I put in HT1 plugs with anti-seize so it should be fine, but you never know with this dumb design.

Will my 2010 GT have this problem? Or was it fixed prior?

Your '10 will be fine. Problem was "fixed" in mid 2008. Enjoy your ride!

+1, dumped the fomoco garbage 2-piecers and went with Champion 1 piecers at 7K. I have about 10K on the champions and pulled one plug out yesterday to show my neighbor (owns a 07 vette and bigtime GM fan) what I was talking about with the plug design. Came right out and the plug nose is clean.

I did not, will not use antisieze on the nose piece. That's just a band-aid solution.

The autolites that I saw in my local parts store were two pieces. That's why I went with the Champions.

Default Plugs

Yup, the HT Autolite and Motorcraft (really the same plug) are both 2 piece plugs. The only 1 piece plugs are Champion (double platinum, copper core), Brisk and now the new Accel plugs.
