You have to clean a area a little bit smaller than the disk where you are going to stick it, something that will clean armour all off and does not leave a residue, i used a grease and was remove I got on line from House of Kolor maybe you can use alcohol too just don't let go outside the disk area so don't mess up dash, then I dumped the sticky stuff came with it and bought the industrial stuff from auto store, stuff with the red tape on it and then I only leave GPS on when driving or shows, at night or day in summer I just tuck GPS away leave the mounty on though, good luck.

im glad someone posted pix of the painted stripes; I thought about the ones ford provide but i dont like the tape idea as over time it will deteriorate. seems painted ones are the future (for me)

Off Topic:

What is a fair price to ask for striping? I really want white stripes on my vert.
