Default Short THrow on a 2010

Ive been lurking for a few days waiting on my activation email, and realized i mistyped my email into the registration field....

I havent been able to find much information on the subject of short throw shifters on the 2010's, and even less on the 2010 V6,

how do i remove the center console, and the stock shifter?

Thanks in advance for all the help!

Most of the aftermarket shifters I've seen aren't short throw. The Roush and Hurst actually seemed to be taller.

In any case, see this post I made on another forum. The Roush guide should assist in removing the shifter itself.

you rock, you just made my Saturday so much less of a PITA.

Now my hurst short throw will go in, and then i get to decide what to spend my money on next!

And the stick is an inch or so taller, but the benefits are the shorter throws, and i think the old school ball kicks *** on top of the chrome stick!

Here's the deal it's up to you, I considered tape even the ones that ford produces, warning don't spray directly with water and so on can get polish near them, mine edges are sealed and I can spray all pressure I want, wax anything., I paid 1800, they are black then sprayed with bright red pearl, then from front bumper to all the way to back bumper 4 coats clear, nothing was sprayed on the sides, only way you can tell sides weren't sprayed with clear is the water does not run off like it does on the whole front to rear top, in sun it is a reddish copper sparkle really pops. I love them, they removed any part that was moveable, except roof of coarse.

Just run the cord under the plastic to the console power plug hides nicely and I put a Bright blue LED light in the dash plug stuffed the wires to it inside the power jacket and double stickied the lights that shine on my shifter at nite looks cool. LOL

If you want a pic of it I can snap one for you

i like the painted calipers! but i got the stock 17's so you wouldnt be able to see it, im lookin at some 18's that look good, and have just enough space to see the calipers, so maybe ill do it then.

whose tune are you running?
