Hot Rods and Shorties - 2 Q's
Been a while since I've been on the forum, but as the weather here in MD looks like it's finished burying us in snow time to get back in the saddle.
I was looking into long tubes w/ hot rod cams for a while but honestly can't justify spending that much money on it. I have a shop lined up to install and dyno tune hot rods for $1600-$1700, so here are my questions:
I have FRPP ceramic shorties (see other mods in sig, usual stuff) how much power can I expect to see with the cams without putting on long tubes? Please consider that the installer/tuner is a name you'd all probably recognize.
How much louder will the car be? I'm running GTA's and am considering switching to FR500S, but if the cam would raise the decibels a bit then no need.
Just looking for yalls two cents, as always. Thanks.

i'd say ~20rwhp.
it is going to be a little louder but not a lot. i think
you would be very happy changing to the KR's. i
have the KR's with hot rods and for me it's a
perfect combo.

yeah just estimating. i'm not sure if you will
need delete plates to get that 20, but regardless
n/a cars love these cams.
yes i was already s/c when mine went in, but
it just so happens that i'm working on another
project now and they might be going back on the
shelf for awhile.
you'll love the cams and they are going to sound
great with your setup.
