2010 GTs -- You got the tick?
Okay, I'm reading about an infamous "tick" from the 4.6 Mustangs at idle, but I'm also reading conflicting reports on whether it's "normal" or a problem. On a seperate thread, I mentioned it, and a couple of you spoke up and said it's normal.
The ticking I hear at idle is loud, and it sounds like injectors. I can hear it even with the hood down, though it's obvioulsy much worse with hood up. Sometimes, I swear I can even hear it upon acceleration (despite the loud exhaust), but that may be my imagination.
Other 2010's with this too? I'm thinking of taking it in to be looked at, but don't want to waste my time if it's nothing. Help me make that decision . . .

I can't hear it with the hood down. I can't hear it when I drive. I probably didn't need that second sentence since I drive with the hood down...
If it bugs you and taking it to the dealer isn't a complete PITA, take it in. Peace of mind is a good thing.

I had the tick too, but I could only hear it when the hood was up. It was a loose connection; the dealer fixed it at 1K miles when they did my first oil change. I don't recall what exactly they told me was loose.

I was listening to some others on YouTube, and mine does not sound as severe as those listed with "valve knock."
Its definitely something near the top of the engine, I would think fuel injectors.
Very local Ford dealer I called said they wanted the car for at least a day (non-Saturday). With my work schedule, I really don't want to bring it to them for something that is the "nature of the beast."
