What do you figure the total cost is for this project?

well total cost the way i did it, is shown in the parts list of the writeup. it's going
to vary a little depending on where you get your parts and whether you go with
ARP hardware or OEM TTY hardware.

basically it's a good chunk of change.....

Definately possible.

You would also have to change out the wiring harness and computer since the 4v uses a different PCM and wiring harness.

I ahve seen it done. However, if you are wanting to make big power, the 3v heads flow just a smidge under the 4v heads and actually make more under the same boost with certain blowers.

If you put a good set of cams on the stock heads, or ported your heads or pruchased a new set of ported heads, you would make a huge amount of power.

I didn't see it either.

Hammer, you should join me over at PSI (hopefully on Friday afternoon) for a dyno. We'll do a dyno face-off!

Found it

Seems strange in the grand scheme of things that a new shortblock is cheaper than a supercharger. Or...guess I should say it seems strange that a supercharger is more expensive than a short block.

it does sound like fun! i have a tuning guru of my own though and he's gonna sprinkle his magic dust over my engine, sometime in the next week or two.

i'm expecting 480-490rwhp with a conservative tune.

i hear ya, but superchargers are nice and shiny and produce more smiles than boring, old blocks of aluminum.

I agree. Except when they go boom. Then it's not so boring.
