Default cam install valve noise help!

My buddy and I just finished installing comp cams, valve springs, and bbk headers in his 2000 gt. When we cranked it up it ran fine except for the loud valve like noise.. I am guessing that there is too much lash at the base of the cam's lobes. How would i go about fixing that? Could i shimmy up the lash adjusters to compensate?
Here are the specs for the cam, everything is bone stock expect for the cams and springs.

Are you sure it's not the headers leaking? Also header steel isn't as thick as a cast iron manifold so it doesn't hold as much noise in. As soon as I installed mine I noticed the valves making more noise. That was the only modification I did at that time so I knew it was only the headers causing it. I don't think there's any adjustment on the lash adjusters.

I think it might actually be valve to piston contact.. From what I hear there is very little clearence in these motors. The cam I have was advanced 4 degrees by comp so i'm going to move it back 2 degrees and see what that does hopefully itl help.. But thats good to know about the headers I'll keep that in mind if I still hear the noise.

Many people prime the engine 1st to get all of the hydraulics pumped up.
