for drivability you're going to want the driveshaft anyways. it'll make the car feel more stable and 1 piece aluminum will have have less drivetrain loss.

cams will also give you a nice, old school lopey sound. you may end up wanting that anyways.

sorry to not give you a definite answer, but i'd do option 2 with cams, d/s, 3.73's and some sort of exhaust just to clean up the note and sound.

What gears do you have now? I think the supercharger will net you more power per dollar...just really depends on whether you want to go FI or not.

FI stands for Forced Induction......It all depends on what your wanting out of your car. What kind driving do you do? Is this your Daily driver? If you did option 2 you would want to get the 3.73's put in. Option 1 would sound pretty awesome though.

Yeah, this is my daily driver. I want more power out of my car, but not so much it causes a head ache to drive daily.

It might be lighter and save you a little power, but aluminum is not as strong as steel so if you're going to the track and blowing your engine, it could be a problem. My buddy blew his aluminum drive shaft up launching, but luckily he had a safety loop on it so it didn't explode into the cabin. Get a safety loop if you get blown (whether you get the alum drive shaft or not). Failures can occur with either one, but aluminum would be more likely.

With option 2 he would be just fine with the 3.31 gears. He would be picking up about 100 hp with no bottom end loss and there wouldn't be any need for 3.73's. Option 2 would be the best for a daily driver IMO, however I would never buy a non intercooled supercharger.

Well there isn't really any need for 100 more hp either. He actually would be fine with just a CAI and tune but I think he wants to get the most out of his car. Why would someone spend 4K on a supercharger and not compliment it with better gears.
