That is the plan of action I'm taken, but I am having the dealer I purchased the car from do that. New gas cap and filter have been done.

Solved for now

The answer to the gas smell and the PO442 was a incorrectly installed gas pump. Fix was paid for by the dealer and should be good to go. I am going to run Sea Foam through to see if that will help clean up the fuel system after the no air filter issue, The I am going to change the plugs add my CAI and Tune and see how she runs, Thank you guys for the advice.
