Hi everyong, i was just wondering what headers and cams there are out there. I really want something that will put out a low tone and be throaty when needed be, i already have a ford racing exhaust on my car and i just bought the magnaflow axle back kit, any word on how the magna sounds like.?


please reply asap as i am going tuna fishing in a few days...

 

I think the Magna axle backs would sound great with Long tube headers. They will definitely add the throaty sound.
But you must also realize that if you have the Ford Racing exhaust... the "Stingers" that they also will do the same thing.

As for headers and cams.
You are in luck.

I just had the Ford Racing Hot Rod cams put in and I love them.
I also had BBK long tube ceramic headers put in with a BBK high flow catted X pipe.

I got a great horsepower gain and feel NO loss of torque.
My SLP loudmouths are a bit too loud I am thinking so I need to get me a pair of mufflers.

If you have the Ford Racing Stingers and want to get rid of them let me know... I would probably buy them from you or trade you my SLP loudmouths for them.
Or if you end up liking the ford racing ones better... I might trade you the SLP loudmouths for the Magnaflows.

Are the magnaflows the magnapacks or regular ones?

 

Hmm i am not sure but they dont look like regular mufflers there round, and i havnt got them yet and i was going to see what both sounded like before i made my mind up and it wont be soon im going to do this cause i am a commercial fisherman and i am leaving tuna fishing for 4-5 months, did u do the cams ur self.? and what i really want is the borla, or corsa exhaust on my car!

 

if its the regular magnaflows, they are kinda quiet.
but with LT's, o/r midpipe and cams, might sound nice.

 

I had the cams installed.

I had 4.10 gears, Hot Rod Cams, and the headers and x pipe all installed at the same time and had it custom tuned.

Borla and Corsa are great too.
But if you have the Ford Stingers they sound pretty much exactly like the Borla's.

Find out which Ford Racing exhaust you have and let me know!

 

People have told me the regular magnaflows are even quieter than stock exhaust.

If they are magnapacks then they should be good.

I really am curious as to what Ford Racing exhaust underworld has.

 

to be honest i am not sure but my car is alot louder then most and u know the flowmaster 40s its like that but not as loud, i could let u listen to it, i do like the sound of them and i bought the car from a lady whos hubby owned a ford dealer ship so he told me it was just a ford racing exhaust and its fairly throaty at around 2-3200rpm

 

O and how much did it cost to install them and i am from canada so here it will cost more and the exhaust i bought was $550 canadian and i got like 150 off cause my friend works at the palce i bogut them from

 

i just got the part number and its 16793 and it is the magnapaks

 

i dont know what kind of a sound the pagnapacks will make and how much hp gain did u get? after u did all the work?
