CAI Info
Ok I read through the CAI sticky and there is some good info on there but as the last post is almost a year old I thought I would see if there is any fresher info out there. I am looking at an INJEN brand CAI. Anyone have this brand or know something about it that I should know? I have used CAI's on other vehicles, but never the INJEN brand. Any thoughts/feedback would be greatly appriciated.

Personally, I don't care for the INJEN products, especially ANY no-tune required CAI. Despite the age of those posts, the info hasn't changed. No-tune required CAI's are practically worthless (maybe 4-6 RWHP) compared to a CAI & custome tune (25+ RWHP).

I had one on an F-150 w/ and Edge programmer. Had A LOT of problems with it. Ended up gettting rid of it. I just put a K & N drop in and modified the stock air box. My problems went away and I ended up with the torque I needed. The only good thing I can say about them is that they LOOK nice.

CAI/Tune is by far the best bang for the buck mod out there, along with some good drag radials..
run some 12.8 with a manual with those mods alone..

Thanks for the input guys. All good info. As this is not my weekend "fun" car I am not looking for huge power gains, at least not right now. I just can't leave a car alone though and the polished Injen kit was the best price I found ($304) and will add a little flash under the hood. Thanks again for your input.
