I was thinking about doing the mod with removing the plug from the sound induction tube to allow more feedback from the engine intake into the cabin. The only thing stopping me is that it seems (to me) that it would allow more air to leak and allow for more objects (dust, pollen, etc..) to contaminate the filter. I wouldn't want to cause any damage to the motor for a sound mod alone.

I'll check the sound tube though. Thanks for the reply!

That's exactly what I was thinking.
As far as the sound I would think you are just used to it so it sounds alot less aggressive. Mine did the same after a while.

The power could be the same... you may just be used to it.
If you think otherwise... monitor it for a while.
And yes altitude is a BIG issue as far as what it does with power on a car.

Check everything... if all is well I'd throw on some new exhaust and get a CAI and a tune to pep her up some for you.
