Default Problem need help.

I was driving down the highway the other day and my trac light came on, the low washer fluid and another light came on. I thought this was odd since I didnt turn off the trac control and I checked and the fluid wash was full. Does anybody no what would cause this or what is going on. Also it has been kind of doggy in 1st and 2nd lately I dont know if this has anything in common. I dont want to take it to Ford for them to say theres nothing wrong. Ive had it out about 12 times since and no problems. Any help would be apprecaited it is a 2006 GT 5spd with 32k only out on the weekends.

I'd have it checked for any trouble codes. If nothing is found, could try disconnecting the battery for 15-20 minutes and see if it resets everything. I have read when an alternator is failing, a lot of weird things go on.

Since this is a weekend car, I'm taking it has been stored in a garage? Otherwise has it been in the rain recently? Possible water leak in the SJB if it has been outside in the rain.

I was thinking water leak issue, also, but it could also be the alternator/battery issue. Read the TSB's for these 2 items just so you're aware of the possibilities. But I'd certainly keep an eye out for dampness by the passenger kick-panel. Too many chronic leakers causing gremlins.

It does sit in the garage so no rain sorry for my ignorance but what is the SJB. I just put a new interstate battery in in oct-nov.

SJB is the smart junction box located next to the A pillar in the passenger foot well. Our mustangs are known to have a "water leak" issue. There is a TSB on it and the mustangs with the more severe leaks can short out the SJB and cause various electronic errors. I would keep an eye on it and see if it leaks, even from a car wash.

Also being doggy, you may be getting to the point of fuel filter change. Mine started to feel bogged down and clogged around 35k miles. I didn't get to swap it out until close to 40k miles and it sure made a difference. Any drop in fuel mileage? A clogged fuel filter will reduce your MPG. Not sure what kind of maintenance you do with your stang, but you're getting around the mileage point where some routine maintenance may be required.

Check the wiring diagrams. If the TCS and wiper fluid signal are fed from the same junction point, I'd certainly raise an eyebrow.

Otherwise, be sure your Shaker system is turned off when you shut off the ignition. The 05 and 06's are notorious for chronic battery drain from the amps staying powered up. Check your battery voltage both static (~12.6v) and charging (~13.6v) and have the battery and alternator load tested if anything looks abnormal.
