Default HELP! Cams Issue?

Well its been a few months of hell for me. Finally got my engine completely done, new tranny in, and new rear end put in. Got it on the dyno the first time and the car only made 360rwhp at 15psi. It was also building boost really slow. The tuner believed that something was wrong with the cams. We found out that one of the lockouts was put in wrong. We finally got that all fixed then put it back on the dyno and it pulled a lot harder this time. Made full boost around 3500RPM, but this time at around 4400 RPM the power completely leveled off.

The cams I have are BBR Stage 2 billet. ( RPM Range 2000-6500. 241/251 .050" duration, .492/.492 lift, 114 LSA.) These are the cams that BBR recommends for their turbo cars and have made plenty of power with them. I called BBR the other day and spoke with Chris. He said that this is an issue they have seen with stock valve springs, but being that I have replaced the valve Springs with the Manley ones they provided, we're all confused.

My tuner says that this is a sign of a floating valve. He thinks that maybe Manley has sent a bad set of valve springs. We have decided that were going to put the stock cams back in and see if it fixes the problem. I wanted to see what anyone thinks is wrong.

Appreciate it.
Daniel

Would have to be some really bad springs to see float as early as 4400.

Well we were putting the stock cams back in and my tuner found a intake follower off on cylinder number 3. We got it back on and before we were about to put in on the dyno, he asked me if I had IMRC deletes. I didn't, which ended up being the main problem. They were shutting, not allowing me to get 80% of my airflow. Car now makes 507rwhp 620ft/tq. Were going to put back in the new cams later and see how they do. I miss the idle :/

Wow. I'd like to know what you think about the lockouts.
