After you add the fuel you can bump up that rev limiter and make close to 600.
Next time my tuner is in California, I'm going to get a 100 oct tune. He expects 600 rwhp.
Yep, a dual bap or return hat is all I need for more power. Just running the base e85 tune (17 degrees timing) with a smaller pulley and fat af got 576hp but ran out of fuel at 5700. Add 5 degrees of timing, leaner af, and more rpm and I'm thinking well over 600. After that inital pull I went to a 3.5 pulley. We stopped at 21 degrees of timing but I'm real sure it would of taken 23 or more. It was my call to stop. The motor is making more power now than I had ever planned for, 2.4 hp per cubic inch with e85. It was time to say enough.
I thought part of the e85 conversion was also upgrading the fuel lines and parts of the fuel system that e85 will corrode.
Pretty much anything built in this century already has the proper lines and orings. BTW it isn't so much corrosion caused by alcohol as it is by any water it picks up accelerating corrosion. If you don't let your car sit with the gas cap off in a rainstorm for extended periods it's not going to do much. My tuner did tell me that injectors only last about 4 years with straight e85 use.
I can tell you that I ran gasahol (e10) back in the late 70's and 80's with no ill effect. That was when cars had rubber and steel lines, and carburators too. At the time many people swore that one tank of gasahol would ruin your motor and all fuel lines.
It would be nice to see you guys at the next horsepower ranch dyno day. Someone drove up from Astoria last time. There were also a few from Vancouver, WA.
