my brother spotted an sct xcal3 tuner for 200$ an is gonna grab it but b4 he does i wanna kno if it would work on my 2007 gt 5spd.....guy says its unlocked with 5 unlocks left...

also if i do get it is there another way to get tunes for life even if you didnt order through AM? like a one time fee??

The tuner mentioned is locked (if it's the same one I saw). He's better off buying a new one with tunes.
$100 tops for that one, then send it in to SCT to get it unlocked.

 

the guy is also sellin a bassani x with removable cats and a k&n intake....if its that deal then i got ya but i dont think he saw it on these forums

It says that on mine everytime I reflash the car.

See if the seller returned it to stock. Otherwise, you will have to have a company reflash it.

 

Same here, mine says that too. If you want the free tunes for life program, you have to buy into it. Why not just buy the tuner from AM and get into the program then? Its $379, and you can also get a ~6% "forum discount" on top of that...

 

If it's unlocked, then yes $200 is a good deal. If it's locked, buy a different one new from place like AM or find a used unlocked one for $200 to $250, they are out there if you look around.

And yes, it will work on your 07 GT.
