Default Tune question

Right now I have the bama 91 performance tune loaded and i want to try out the race tune. Do i need to flash the car back to stock then up load the race tune? or can i just simply upload the race tune while I have the performance one loaded already?

Just load the other program. It will put it on a file in your programmer and will also save your stock program.

You can flash from one tune to another without reflashing to stock first. Just be sure your fuels' octane is correct (or higher) for the tune.

in terms of that, do you suggest running the 91 down a little lower then a 1/4 then filling with 93 and running that for a while and then load the tune?

It's better to fill with 93 atleast twice before switching tunes.
If you only do it once your octane # will be low.

Some tunes and PCM's are more tolerant of octane that's a bit low and will pull sufficient timing. Others will tend to knock/ping if the octane is off enough. If it worries you, do as stated above. But even if it's low and pings, drive granny style for a few gallons and refill. Just don't use an octane booster additive. They're known to cause problems.
