Tire Pressure Light
Question I have....can this be turned off permanently? i got new rims and tires and it took a week before it came on... I tried using my SCT to clear it but no luck. I didn't feel like paying $200 clams to buy the tool to fix this. It's only a little annoying to see the light and hit reset when I first start the car. The factory rims and tires will go back on for the winter, so will the light go back off when they are put back on?
the rims I bought, have the TPMS sensor in them. I just didn't feel like paying 200 bucs to get rid of a little light when I know these are just going to be a spring and summer set-up you know. I might just bite the bullit but was wondering if it could just be turned off completely.

No it can't be shut off. There are folks that claim that they've "fooled" the system by placing their TPMS sensors inside a pressurized tube that they placed in the trunk.
It's possible that you'll need to retrain the TPMS after you reinstall the stock wheels each time. It depends on if the system can read the sensors when you remount those wheels. I'd go buy the tool so you can retrain the sensors regardless of which set of wheels you're using. I believe it's only about $20.
I also suspect that, sense you now have 8 sensors, that swapping wheels would almost require you to retrain the system.

Searching on 'Mustang TPMS tool' finds several, so you can probably do better on price
than ↓↓↓ . But you don't have to do any worse.

Thanks and here is the weird part of it all. I got in the car this morning and the light did not come on. Very odd, not sure what is going on. Is there one tool that will work on aftermarket and factory TPMS sensors? AM told me that theirs would only work on the wheels I bought from them and not on the factory ones. One reason why I didn't buy it.
Off the subject but...
You should throw a chin spoiler on that baby.
Will make it look MUCH more aggressive.
Possibly lower it a bit too unless you drive around steep areas all the time.
The chin spoiler will also give the illusion it is a bit lower unless you look at the wheel space. I did not want to lower the 06 and the spoiler made it look SO MUCH better.
That front end looks as high as a 4x4.
Great looking ride though!
BTW I just bought a GT500 chin spoiler before the car was actually traded in for a GT500. Its only like 90 bucks so it saves on cost vs aftermarket chin spoilers and looks great.
You have to modify it a bit to get it to fit (do a bit of cutting), but it isn't hard and is well worth it. There are write ups on the forum on how to do it if you ever decide to do so. I think you will be AMAZED at how much more aggressive and mean it makes the car look. ESPECIALLY on black mustangs.

That's funny b/c that is my next mod when I come back from Vacation. Question though, where is everyone finding the GT500 chin spoilers for 90 bucs. Everything I've found is a lot higher than that. I've seen that write up and I think I even book marked it for when I get mine.
The front end looks high in that pic b/c of the drive way. The cement sidewalk is angled down to the road from my driveway, so the front is at an upward angle. But I do agree about the chin spoiler. I also really like the 3D Carbon one but it is around $280 I think. Even more painted.
Let me know where I can find that splitter for 90 bucs though, I would really appreciate.
Your car looks sweet too, I really like the black with black stripes

really ??? The stealership only sells them for $90 bucs. I would have never guessed that one. I'll have to look into that when we get back. The mods to the splitter seem fairly easy as long as you take your time
