Default Nitrous worth it?

Would it be a good idea to use Nitrous on my set up?

Thinking of a small 20-35 shot once things get hot at the track for some added boost, possibly upping the shots once I get used to actually how to gauge it's effect on my car.

http://www.brenspeed.com/82034.html

Does it all have to be re-tuned for more fuel or will the pcm automatically adjust for it? Sounds like a total noob question, I know..

Last minute efforts to get deep into the 11's this season..

Vortech V3 10 psi @4xx whp
Brenspeed tune w/90 octane
FRPP 4.10s
Economy delete plates
JBA high heat coated shorties
dual 3 inch cut outs
Steeda LCA, front strut bar
MT ET Streets w/17x9 rims

Best so far is 12.5@110 w/2.0 60 ft.

enjoy blowing your engine lol. i'd say you'd be pushing your luck more than you are now if you did it.

Better to go out with a bang, than a thud..

.. Once heat-soak kicks in, I am lucking to be making 400whp. The N2o is to up it back to 450-460 where it should be... I remember running 13.8@105mph without an intercooler, now that is just plain bad..

you should get it dynoed first so you at least know where you sit.

There is a member "Marc S" on the S197 site that has a Procharger and also runs nitrous with it. As long as you have enough fuel pressure you should be ok with a smaller shot.
Marc S says that a 30 shot on a blower car/forced induction just about doubles. So your 30 shot will be more like a 60 shot.
Also you may want to have an exclusive program for the nitrous because you MIGHT need to take out a little timing.

I should also get two dynos.. once when the car is fresh, and the second when it's hot. Both heart breaking numbers with an auto, 4.10s and 90 octane I am willing to bet. I'd be surprised if I was anywhere near 420whp on either of those runs...

That's good news.. less N2o to use. Which get's pricey..

contacting Brenspeed about special tunes as we speak.. if it begins to get too pricey, I'll let it all alone and just enjoy the summer with low 12's once I get there..

You already had one thing go boom on you.
If you do spray you better make sure you are WELL within safe limits.

You NEVER know what can happen and the more you push it the more risk you take.
If you are at 450rwhp already you better watch your ***.
If I was at that power already I would not do it.
